Launch Your Writing Project! A six-week online series


Get That Novel, Family History, or Memoir Started This Winter

Have you got a story idea that needs fleshing out? Would you like some impetus and structure to get your project underway? Join author Jeanette Taylor and storyteller Margo McLoughlin for an online series, beginning February 3, 2024 and running for six consecutive weeks. Please register by January 15.

Taylor and McLoughlin will help writers with a new story idea devise a plan and get started on their project, whether it’s short fiction, writing for children, or a novel. We'll engage in discussions and try writing exercises designed to get your pen movng as you work toward a first draft. Read more under Literary Arts.

February 3, 10, 17, 24, March 2 and 9, 2024

Location: This workshop series will be held online.

Fee: $295 + GST

Registrants should have a passion for writing and a project in mind to take full advantage of the instruction, exercises, readings, and discussion. An e-mail address is required to receive and share material. At the time of registration, writers will be asked to send in a 200 - 300 word premise for their story. This initial exercise is a helpful tool for preparing to launch ourselves into our writing. If you would like some guidance on writing a premise statement let us know.
